I have always been interested in how the human mind works and how my own past experiences affected my present life. From a young age, I seemed to have a natural awareness and understanding of people.
I am passionate about helping people find their way in life. I have a natural ability to help people feel comfortable in my company – this is very helpful when working with clients.
Counselling can support you by enabling you to get in touch with feelings or emotions which may have previously been too painful or frightening for you to feel. Therapy creates a nurturing space for connection needs to emerge, particularly needs that have been shut down for a very long time.
I combine my counselling with my life coaching skills to help people to find clarity within their life, this usually begins to happen within 6 sessions.
I work with many different issues at my Bristol practice, with a special interest in stress, burnout, anxiety, depression and the many different forms of self-harm, and relationship issues.
I am a genuinely good listener and I am able to really focus in on the client and their needs, with guidance on solutions.
I have many years of experience working with clients with relationship challenges. I have trained with Relate as a couple’s counsellor, where I helped many couples find their unique communication with each other again.
